Your passwords at your fingertip

Main view
Beside meetings, the snooze function of the alarm clock and always-empty batteries, we in the western world suffer the most from the unmanageable surge of passwords, pins, tans, puks and access-codes.

We are surrounded by numbers and names no ordinary man can keep in mind. The only exception to that rule is my wife and a few other mythical creatures – it’s a skill I will never understand.

With myWallet you manage all your important and sensitive information in a portable way and they are available in a blink. Your data are password protected and securely encrypted; they are completely searchable and managed in categories. For your convenience you are free to run myWallet from a thumb drive or you can keep it in sync by using iDisk or Dropbox.
Create category

Category sheet
To find your sensitive data even faster you can manage them using categories.
You can create a new category using the Toolbar, the menu (>File >New Category) or a keyboard short-cut (cmd+shift+N).

Hint
You are free to edit any existing category at any time.
To edit a category use the menu or double-click on the table.
Create entry

Every category can hold any number of entries. You can manually order the entries to fit your needs.

To add a new entry use the Toolbar, the menu (>File >New Entry) or the keyboard short-cut (cmd+N).

You can customize the icon of each entry and you can add a note, which can be printed or exported.

Please notice!
Since icons or images are encrypted in the database you should not make use of large Photoshop-files or the like. This would bloat the database and result in poor performance (especially while using iDisk sync) and boot time.
Password
image
Password panel
Of what avail is it if your beautiful and easy-to-use password management application does not protect its content from curious eyes. Thus you can password-protect myWallet and in case you do not use as a password your birthday or the name of your pet your data are secure with a 256bit AES encryption.

After you set a password in the preferences you can lock myWallet even without quitting it.

Please notice
Without the right password you will not gain access to your data!
There is no backdoor – not even for me. Thus keep the password of myWallet in mind. I promise this is one of the rare ones you have to keep in mind while using myWallet.
Preferences

Preferences
myWallet can be used as a portable application.
This means you can run it from a thumb drive and the like. To activate this feature enable the 'Custom database location' feature and set the path. This applies to accessing it from your network-drive or your iDisk too.

In case you use myWallet with iDisk please ensure to enable the iDisk synchronization in the MobileMe preferences. Now you have access to your important data even without internet connection.

For your safety myWallet allows you to create backups with a timestamp at a place that fits your needs. To delete a password from the clipboard at the time you quit myWallet enable the feature 'Automatically clear clipboard' in the preferences.
