Citation View

Zitate is a simple but powerfull tool for every writer, student, journalist, teacher et cetera…
Track, manage and store your referenced material in one simple and easy to use application…

1. Create Categories

You can sort these categories by hand with drag&drop and duplicate them by simply alt+drag…

2. Add Citations

You can add as many citation sto each category as you like (need) and they are also re-ordering with drag&drop…

Simple View

I tried to built an application that can fit mosts needs - so if you just want to store quotes and references you can also use the 'Simple View"

Each citation can be printed and exportet as a .rtfd (or if wanted as a .doc) file…

Preferences

In the Preferences you can select which items should be recognized for for printing, exporting and for drag&drop to other applications (like Pages, Word or Schreiberling) and of course for use with the reference list…

Reference Lists

You can store (print and export) reference lists to each category…

These lists can be "build" with ease by just dragging all your needed references out of the reference list (and only your selected items will be copied and dropped)…

Harvard Style

If needed you can also build by simply dragging your used citations a reference list in a Harvard-conform style. This option is also selectable in the Preferences…

So with Zitate you can build your own reference lists - just the way you like them, but you can also generate standard lists and export them…

Normal or Portable?

Portable means that you can always take it with you.
But not only the app itself - of course you can have all your data with.
All your notes, client data, bookmarks or writings - depending on which app you are using…

Normal OS X applications store the data as documents - so you always have to save your changes or other applications save all the data inside your Application Support folder and you can only edit this data with one Mac.

MOApp Portable Applications store the data inside the App itself - so you can always take them along. On a Thumb-Drive, any external HDD or even on a NAS/Fileserver to access your data with any Mac in your network or via VPN from all over the World…

WARNING!!!

To leverage the great advantage of always being able to take the
application and all your data with you, you need to follow the rules below:

· Do not delete the application(s)! Never!!! (it helps to lock it)
· Backup the App itself! (with Time Machine or by hand)
· Always read the Update Manual to update to a new version!
· Do not talk about the Fight Club! t

Backup | Restore and Upgrade

Zitate [normal] stores its data inside your Application Support folder…
Zitate [portable] stores its data inside the application package itself…
So - if you delete the portable application - you also delete all your data!!!

You can backup all you data in one single file and restore it if needed or migrate to a new Mac.
The 'normal' version can be upgraded like every other Mac application.
The 'portable' version can't be upgraded like every other Mac application!

You first have to backup all your data and than restore (import) it to the new version…

Philosophy and Support

Demo Information

Every MOApp Application works without licenses, serial number and activations. That sort of nonsense only punishes the honest among us. For that reason, there are no 10/20/30 days demos of our small apps. They will only store the data as long as the application is running. After you've purchased the applications you fully own them, without limitations. We know that this is a compromise - but we think it is a good one, a lot like DRM-free music.

MOApp is a small software company based in Mainz | Germany. We are focused on developing very clean and easy to use softwarefor Mac OS X and to offer customer friendly support. We always try to keep the prices down. We are also addicted to create and design gorgeous stuff like logos, icons, websites cards, covers and flyers…

In most cases you don't receive our email because we are blocked by your email- or isp. So it would help to write to us (if possible) again from another email-account.
