First Steps

Thanks for using meinKOPPPro.

meinKOPPPro is the advanced version of the well known meinKOPP. I always try to hear to my customers and you had a lot of requests and wishes to make meinKOPP a better application. As I started over three years ago with the rst (and very crappy) version of meinKOPP my Cocoa skills have been - well, to be honest - I had no skills…

So to make meinKOPP better I had to write a complete new application and to change almost everything because many of you asked for an iPhone application. I am working on a “phoneKOPP” and meinKOPPPro will be able to sync with that iPhone app…

This new application now supports iCal integration, Drag&Drop, exporting and restoring of your complete database, is also available as a portable application (that can run from any thumbdrive, in your network etc. - so you can always have your digital head with you) and you can export all your content as .rtfd les or simply drag them into any other application. As requested you can now also store complete .pdf les…

Quickies View

meinKOPPPro has got different 'views'.
The 'Quickies View' is for fast writing some notes, ideas, messages - so you may also call it 'Stickies' or 'Post Its'…

meinKOPPPro is build to be used in a way that can fit many prefered ways of handling an application. So you can add new content in differner ways:

· via the menu
· via the toolbar
· via popup menus by ctr-click in the table
· via shortcuts
· via the small buttons at the bottom

ToDo!s

The 'ToDo!s View' is the view you will see when you start meinKOPPPro for the first time - but the application will remember the last selected view and also the last selected row in the table (e.g. the last selected 'Note')…

Quickies, Snippets and Bookmarks work without 'Categories' but 'ToDo!s' and 'Notes' are organized in 'Categories' - so you first have to create at least one 'Category' before adding new 'ToDo!s' and 'Notes' …

If you are in a different 'View' and want to add a new 'ToDo!s' - the window will automatically switch to 'ToDo!s' and of course that also works for Quickies, Bookmarks et cetera…

meinKOPPPro and iCal

If needed you can allow meinKOPPPro to automatically add new ToDo!s to iCal and you can select if you want to add them as tasks or events…

Notes

meinKOPPPro is also available as a portable application - that means that you can run it from any thumbdrive or even in a network or access it via 'Back to my Mac' or VPN - so you can also store notes, homeworks, investigations in your digital head. Thats why I built in the 'Notes View'. So meinKOPPPro is a small Word Processor to go and of course you can export all your notes as very compatible .rtfd files or print them…

Text View

You can choose to print or export them with 'Header' (Title, Date et cetera…) or if you just want to print export only the text - this is available in the 'Text View'…

Snippets - or the digital Moleskine

The 'Snippets View' is something like a digital Moleskine to store ideas, images, notes, links, poems eMails, or whatever…

Tags

To find these 'Snippets' and of course all your other content you can search for their titles etc. - but you can also tag your content and search for this tags - due to this search for tags you have to confirm your search with 'Enter'…

Web View

Of course meinKOPPPro is no replacement for Safari (but it is faster - I have played a little bit with the WebKit)…

But you can have your needed bookmarks always with you (if you use the portable version of meinKOPPPro) and you can store notes or complete articles, inquires in you digital head and print and export them…

It is not pefect - but it helps to keep an outline and saves time…

Backup | Restore | Upgrade

meinKOPPPro[normal] stores its data inside your Application Support folder…
meinKOPPPro[portable] stores its data inside the application package itself…
So - if you delete the portable application - you also delete all your data!!!

You can backup all you data in one single file and restore it if needed or migrate to a new Mac.
The 'normal' version can be upgraded like every other Mac application.
The 'portable' version can't be upgraded like every other Mac application!

You first have to backup all your data and than restore (import) it to the new version…

Philosophy and Support

Demo Information

Every MOApp Application works without licenses, serial number and activations. That sort of nonsense only punishes the honest among us. For that reason, there are no 10/20/30 days demos of our small apps. They will only store the data as long as the application is running. After you've purchased the applications you fully own them, without limitations. We know that this is a compromise - but we think it is a good one, a lot like DRM-free music.

Philosophy

MOApp is a small software company based in Mainz | Germany. We are focused on developing very clean and easy to use softwarefor Mac OS X and to offer customer friendly support. We always try to keep the prices down. We are also addicted to create and design gorgeous stuff like logos, icons, websites cards, covers and flyers…

Feel free to contact us in any case of questions, requests or if you need support. Please take a look first at the FAQ's - maybe thereis an answer to your question. Please ensure that you can receive emails from the domain me.com. If we did not answer within the next 24h, please leave us a note. In most cases you don't receive our email because we are blocked by your email- or isp. So it would help to write to us (if possible) again from another email-account.
