Newly created documents will be stored inside your selected myTexts pro folder.
If you use it as a 'normal' application this is inside your Library folder and if you've choosen to work with your iDisk or your Dropbox this is of course inside your iDisk or Dropbox folder.
All documents are automatically saved in the background, you can create single backup files or let myTexts pro automatically create complete backups of all your documents and myTexts pro can create individual Snapshots of your texts - so you will never ever again lose a text of yours and if needed, you can work on the same document independent from location or device by using the Dropbox or iDisk on multiple Macs, the iPad or your iPhone…
How to create a new document
Use Menu > File > New Document…
File Formats
myTexts Document
This is the native myTexts pro file format and the recommended one. It supports Notes, Comments and Topics and works best when using the iPad/iPhone companion. You can export it at any time into another file format like a Word Document or a Simple Text Document.
Simple Text Document
This is the most compatible file format that can be opened from everyone on any computer or mobile device - even in a web browser. It does not support Notes, Comments or Topics.
Markdown Document
Markdown is a markup language, created by John Gruber. myTexts pro can create a formatted Word or Rich Text Document out of a text written in Markdown.This file format does not support Notes, Comments or Topics.
HTML Document
HTML is the skeleton of every website and you may want to use this file format when working on your next weblog article. It does not support Notes, Comments or Topics.
